We decided to go to Utah, see General Conference and visit with family. We thought this would be a good age for Zander to go since he sleeps so much! He did really well on the drive up to Utah. We broke up our trip by staying in Cedar City both ways. Here he is happy to be out of his carseat!
We left right after school on Wednesday, got up to Cedar super late, and then had all of Thursday to hang out. Carla took us on a pretty hike.
It was such a beautiful time of year to go to Utah with all the fall colors.
We went to Discovery Park while we waited for the boys to get out of school. Then we went to the indoor water park and they had a blast with their cousins! They all loved the big slide, even Hunter! That night we got to see Alexander play in his band concert, they did a great job!
Friday, we drove up to Provo and got to see where Joanna lives. She came with us to Bridal Veil Falls (which was freezing cold)
We fed some fish
Then we went to BYU campus, went to their Paleontology museum, art museum, and the bookstore. We of course admired the Y. We like to watch Studio C on byu tv. So when we tried to spell out byu, Hunter asked, who is going to be tv?

On Saturday we went up to Salt Lake City, visited with Elyse, and went to Temple Square and did some touristy things there.
Kevin, Brooklyn, and Nathan went into the Conference Center to see the Sat afternoon session. Joanna, Elyse, Hunter, Zander, and I got to listen to the session outside on the lawn. Very peaceful. Brooklyn and Nathan liked seeing the prophet but were a little disappointed that he was so far away. They proceeded to take a nap in the conference center!

Sisters :)
We stayed with my cousin Caroline and hung out at her house on Sunday. The kids had a blast playing together in between conference sessions. These two girls were so enthralled with baby Z :)
Sunday night we drove back to Cedar City and Monday we went fishing.
These kids had a lot of fun together!
Buds!
The kids also had a movie day in Carla and Hilton's cool theater room.
We drove back on Tuesday, which seemed to take all day, since Zander had to stop and eat a lot. He did so good up until we had about 2 hours left to get home. Then he decided that he was done with his car seat and cried the rest of the way home. Now he pretty much doesn't like his car seat, but hopefully he will forget that soon!
We had such a fun trip and it was so fun staying with family and visiting with family too!
