We spent a couple of days in the mountains for Thanksgiving. It was so much fun, including ice skating!
We also made gingerbread farms, which you can see below. My grandma puts a lot of work into making the gingerbread before we come so we can have fun putting it all together!
My 11 year old sister started an ACT club, where they put on plays at my mom's house. For Christmas they did a play that Bonnie wrote about some elves and believing in Santa.
Brooklyn was "the bossy" elf. It was very cute!
My family also put on a play, a short version of The Wizard of Oz. Brooklyn was the Wicked Witch of the West and did a great job being evil! The boys were munchkins and monkeys. My job was to keep them on task back stage!
Last Christmas we got to see every single member of both my immediate family and Kevin's! Wow! Here's my family.
On Christmas Eve we told the kids that I'm pregnant. We put them in front of the tree to take a picture "Say cheese!", then put it on video, and said, "Say Mommy's pregnant!" Well their reaction was so funny. We've been talking about having another baby for so long, they didn't believe us! They've already learned not to believe everything that comes out of Kevin's mouth. There other thing was that my sister-in-law had just announced the night before that she was pregnant, so they kept saying, "No Jen's pregnant!" When they finally believed us, they screamed with joy! For Hunter's talent that night, they sang the last verse of the 12 days of Christmas and then ended with "And a baby in mommy's tummy"
Nathan sang Feliz Navidad for his talent, and had everyone join in the second time around.
We always do the nativity and this year Kevin and I were Mary and Joseph. This picture is too funny, because this is what we'll look like in a couple of months, but instead of a doll, we'll have a real baby!
Christmas day, all the cousins got matching jammies made by Jeanne of course!
...except we had to cross out the "16th" and write in "17th" once we found out that Jen was pregnant and due a couple of weeks before me! ("THE WALL" is the huge wall with all the grandkid pictures) Here's the Williamson clan. Who planned those coordinating colors? No one!
It was a great holiday season, but I was so tired (had to take naps everyday), it was all I could do to get it all done and I was so glad when it was over!
