No sleep till Brooklyn!

Anyone who hasn't seen Brooklyn for awhile always comments on how tall she is! She has grown so much in the past year. She is now about 5 foot 1 1/2 inches I think, just turned 10 years old! I got to go with her on her field trip this year to Knott's Berry Farm. In fourth grade they learn about the Gold Rush and Missions, so it was a great place to go, plus they got to ride a couple of rides!
Brooklyn's Mission project was due during a very busy time for us, but we got it done just in time!
She did the San Luis Rey mission.
The stake has done a Daddy Daughter dance the last couple of years, which is always super fun. This hear it was a hoedown. I get to spy on them, since they ask the Primary presidents to help out. It was a super cute activity, with dinner, dance instructor, games, picture spot, and yummy dessert!
Brooklyn loves her Barbie house that we finally got her last Christmas. We kept thinking she was too old, but she still plays with Barbies, found a good deal, so we got it. I think it is her little haven away from her brothers. She closes her door, and has her own girl time. Now she is excited about furnishing the house!
Brooklyn had a Wicked themed party this year.

These girls had so much fun together. We actually kicked the boys out (they went to a movie with Daddy) so we could do totally girly things like painting nails, making necklaces, some "Wicked" games, and karaoke to Wicked, Taylor Swift, etc!

These girls sang their hearts out, and had fun dancing too. When that first Taylor Swift song was chosen, they were all screaming along!
Brooklyn said her favorite part of the party was karaoke and just playing outside while waiting for others to get their nails done. My mom came and helped out, which was so great!
Brooklyn is such a good big sister, so responsible, kind, service oriented, and we love having her as part of our family. Some of her favorites at 10: color purple, food pasta roni, dessert chocolate chip cookies, movie Harry Potter, toy Barbies, sport soccer, to do: read, subject in school: reading and math. When she grows up she wants to be an author/illustrator.

I love that Brooklyn loves musicals, it is so fun to share that with her. This was definitely a fun party to plan!
